Stress affects everybody in our society. It can be caused by overwork, change at work or home, unemployment, relationships, loss, illness, pollution and the pace of life itself. Stress and anxiety show themselves in many different ways, some people may develop a stress-related illness, others suffer sleep loss, anxiety, panic attacks or muscular tension. One in every four people seeks treatment for stress at some time in their lives.
Stress Management Training comprises a set of rehabilitative skills and techniques aimed at enabling the individual to better manage stress. It is used to help people suffering from stress and anxiety and their related disorders. It can also help people suffering from alcohol, drug, and other addictions, depression, bereavement and from a variety of physical illnesses. This Training can be learned rapidly and is applicable in many settings. It can be used as a short course of treatment or as an on-going therapeutic activity. It is empowering to the individual, enabling them to take a greater control of their own life and health.

Diploma Courses
We offer two courses, the Diploma in Stress Management Training and the Diploma in Organisational Stress Management. Both courses are taught entirely by distance methods using workbooks, audio tapes and discs. The Diploma in Stress Management Training is suitable for beginners in the field as well as for experienced practitioners. The Diploma in Organisational Stress Management is suitable for candidates who have completed our Diploma in Stress Management Training or for those who are already experienced practitioners.
Professional Liability Insurance
Trainees on our Stress Management Courses who intend to work in private practice can obtain a Certificate of Professional Liability Insurance for approximately £70.00 per annum. This insurance includes cover normally provided by: Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, Product Liability and Libel and Slander Insurance.
