| Are your Stress Management Training Diploma Courses accredited?
No. We did hold accreditation for six years under the University Credit Acumulation and Transfer Scheme at 40 Level 3 Credits (equivalent to one term of the final year of an Honours degree) and with CCETSW under thier Post Qualification Award. However, the costs associated with accreditation, which we had to pass on to our trainees, became prohibitive and we decided to let the accreditation go. This has not affected the number of applications for our training as Stress Management remains an unregulated field in the U.K., there currently being no nationally recognised accreditation available. If I do the training will I be able to practise in Stress Management/Stress Counselling? Yes. Both our courses give you the stress management skills you will need in order to practise as a stress management trainer. We also include relaxation exercises and lectures on tape and a disk with all the forms, logs and questionnaires you will need for your stress management training or audit. You can edit these with your own logo if you wish. We also provide hard copies of these for photocopying. We don‘t, however, provide training in marketing. What level are your Stress Courses set at? In academic terms the level is roughly equivalent to the final year of an honours degree. If I do both courses together, how long do I get to complete them? We give you 18 months to complete the Diploma in Stress Management Training with a further 12 months after that to complete the Diploma in Organisational Stress Management. Is there a minimum time limit to complete the training? There is no minimum time limit and some people do complete in two or three months. Is there help with the training if I need it? Yes. Our Director of Training, Maggie McCarthy, B.A.(Hons), M.A.(Distnctn), CQSW, Cert.Analytical Psychoth., who developed the training courses, will gladly answer any questions you may have arising from the training. When does the training start? Anytime. We have an ongoing intake of trainees. How is the training delivered? Entirely by distance learning so it doesn‘t matter where you live. We post the entire course to you at the beginning and you work through at your own pace. Will I need to buy any books to back up the training? No. The short essays can be answered from the training material and the long essay is on a topic of your own choosing, related to stress management. Most trainees have an area of interest or specialism on which they already have enough books. |
